Comparisons.
The Omen remake has almost nothing to deliver that original mystery flick didn't, other than continuous camera rotations (no Zulawski craftmanship here) for about one hour. Contrariwise, it has corny special effects and not even one sequence with engaging climax -e.g. the scene at the cemetery has so indifferent shooting.
The new version has an exceptional chance with Rosemary/Mia Farrow, but the screenwriter did not exploit her presence at all. No haunting Goldsmith around -even if Beltrami did a decent job-. and the extended couple's psychodrama lacks chemistry.
Not to forget Postlethwaite's dominant presence and Thewlis' solid performance.
