The value of ideological clarity: Taxi Driver vs Joker
One can easily apprehend the ambiguity of the political discourse developped by Joker (Todd Phillips, 2019) by comparing it to the film that has (obviously) served as a model to Todd Phillips and his collaborators (including Joaquin Phoenix): Taxi Driver (Martin Scorsese, 1976).
