It took me a couple of years to finish this piece of garbage. You'll win more if you jump to the more grotesque scenes or watch it with someone to mock on how brilliant is the script. I believe the film was not lenghty enough so they made the river scene as long as possible, defintely deserves a Most Tiresome award.

I appreciate how Japan can deliver to mainstream some story with barely any sense. OK, I heard about Denshinbashira Elemi no Koi which portrays love between a telephone pole (!) and a 25-yea-old man, but knowing how many people is actually crying over a serious GIRL x 3-LEGGED CHAIR romance is a strange phenomena.

I believe it takes much to get what Angel Guts has to say and the language wich the director tries to speak, because the ratings are kinda low. Even if you see it as pure erotica garbage, it should be amazing!

I thought Perfect Blue was influenced…

Jonas Mekas is my favorite person. Besides his unique, avant-garde point of view, he was a happy, honest person, who never tried to create, but shared his own understanding of beauty after all the hell he went through. Re-watching his films and his interviews (and now tracking down all of his material I have missed before) is helping me to struggle with my depression and fortunatelly I feel motivated and inspired to get back into my art again. I only have to thank you, Mr. Mekas.
