The Electric State 2025
I was so angry at this movie until around 40 minutes in when I realized this has to be fed propaganda. The movie's so shit in every single way that it had to be on purpose. It's reverse psychology 101.
So yeah, the Russos are feds, artless pigs whose career highlight was a few sitcom episodes, and Simon Stalenhag is a simpleton for defending this movie.

I have a theory about the ending. Michel Franco realized during production that he was making a movie that didn't outright suck, remembered how close he got to getting it right with Sundown, panicked, and just sort of stopped making the movie to prevent himself from ruining it.
