From a storytelling and animation perspective, it’s incredible, well.. I have my issues with Scar but we’ll get into that. My goodness.. some of the songs were just terrible, especially the main villain’s.
Many emotional moments felt interrupted/halted by a throw-in song, taking me out of the element when I was starting to get into the would’ve been good scene.
Also why’d Mufasa and his girl just randomly leave Scar up on the mountains to have a duet ijbol 😭…
