Solid, compelling war drama with top class performances by Gyllenhal and Salim. A return to form for Ritchie.

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) 2020
Fun if derivative take on the Joker’s infamous other. Don’t pay attention to the plot or look for any subtlety just sit back and have fun. Robbie’s zany performance and the pleasure of seeing Ewan McGregor ham it up as the villain make it all tick and at least DC are continuing to offer a bit more superhero variety of late than Marvel. Plus Rosie Perez is back, what’s not to love?!!
