I went into this one pretty skeptical but James McAvoy is too charismatic. He sold the changes from the original with his charm. I ended up having a lot of fun by the time the third act was fully rolling. I don’t love all the changes from the original but this is a valid adaptation!
I took half a point away because I don’t like when movies treat me like a baby who can’t understand context.
