  ★★★½ Rewatched 23 Mar 2025

  Wanted to catch this a second time to see how well the mystery holds up to logical scrutiny when you know what's coming, and the answer is: very well! Some scenes made a lot more sense knowing what came after than they did on the first watch. Still a little too thematically superficial and thin imo, but still such a blast that I didn't much care about that!

  Really moving and emotional at its best, but it's irritating that WWE never takes steps to acknowledge its own role in some of Bray's creative struggles. The doc positions personal tumult as the source of them, which feels irritatingly revisionist. It's stirring enough to overcome that, but it does bug me.
