But seriously the cinematography noticeably changes to look like a car commercial whenever a Chevrolet is on screen and it knocked me out of the movie so hard. Obviously I expected it to try and sell me on Mattel the company and Barbie the toy but I didn't expect it to try and sell me cars and apps and other movies at the same time.
There was an extra layer of irony watching this movie on Amazon Prime.
This film was hard to rate, while watching I had a lot of mixed opinions on it and even now I wish I could give it a few ratings simultaneously. The animation and music would give it a 4/5, the story line and dialogue would give it a 2/5, Prince Eric's recorder would give it a 5/5.
