Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy 2025
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Cried my eyes out everytime Mark Darcy was even vaguely inferred, meaning I have definitely cried more about his death than any other fictional character which is kinda a fascinating revelation about myself (although obviously I’m also delighted for her ending up with that literally stunning man)

My Favourite Cake 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The scene where he fixed her light and it came on in her garden as she set the table for dinner was so moving; they were helping to reproduce each other, to create something with another person, for the first time in so long.
I also enjoyed the inversion of the typical generational behaviour that we observe in western films. Here it was older people who were radical and rebellious.
I really was not ready or able for the ending tbh - I wish they could have left it a happy film.Translated from by -
The Substance 2024
I am shell shocked. The first two acts are so cruel and unrelenting that the catharsis in the final one was one of my best experiences in a cinema.
