  i love how much of modern(ig not so modern anymore but i ain’t forget) pop culture plays a role in shrek. like the sheer amt of references just in the intro montage alone is so fun- notably the lotr wedding ring & spider-man kiss. this movie is so iconic, cunty, fun. they really came into their own here. fr one of the best sequels

  this franchise truly is iconic. i was watching this thinking abt the originality of it, took the source material and ran. i have always appreciated these movies for their ties to the pop culture at the time of it being made. also the voice acting & the micro expressions they have even in this early stage of animation. love. the second one will always be my fave though

  i really enjoyed this. i appreciated the quirks. at some point i started relating it to nausicaä. i really adored the score and some of the more mobile camera work. i love nasha. i love mickey. i actually am mickey give or take. also nasha and mickey together was beautiful. they love each other so much. beloveds.

  was this movie good? no! but was it one of the queerest horniest things i have ever watched? yes! they should just have a big orgy. alfred included. goddamn. they was all gay and they was all screwing each other. the nipples? the bulges? the ASS shot? those outfits? the lingerie! the fucking laundry scene? zero warning! i loved it! what the fuck! was this movie!? the writing was not good but wow. i was so entertained. this was so good to laugh at. what’s the point, big boy? JUST BONE ALREADY. MY GOD. this was peak homoeroticism. nicole kidman included
