This was beautiful to watch and it had a lot of elements that I liked. Adrien Brody and Guy Pearce's performances were both very strong. I appreciate 20th century architecture and stories from Holocaust survivors (even though László Tóth wasn't a real person — why was this made??)
I enjoyed the first act, in large part because it felt like a real exploration of late 1940s America and the immigrant experience. I liked the opener, I loved the jazz club…
