A beautiful and artful rendition of a fascinating scenario— especially fascinating for me, someone who knows very little about the rituals of the Catholic church. Ralph Fiennes is on his A-game here, as is the whole cast. I have to say that I appreciated the score, even though it was tonally gratuitous, and I’m glad I watched with headphones so I could really be aware of the spatial audio mixing. The sound of breathing was stifling in a good way.…

If this movie had a good soundtrack it would have been one for the ages. “Wherever I Fall” is so undeniably excellent compared to any other number that the ending, which should be heart-rending, becomes an emotional anticlimax. Strong performances from the whole cast, Dinklage especially. Let it Shine remains the superior adaptation

I would watch hours of Pokémon just walking down the street. They didn’t need a story but they added one anyways, it’s simple and a little corny but I was engaged start to finish. This movie delivers.
