  Saw this at NYAFF 2016. Here's a bit of a background on the film that made me appreciate it (despite the mediocre story).
  It was directed, written, edited and stars Yue Song. He was there for the screening and did a Q&A afterwards. They introduced the film and presented Song with the Daniel A. Craft Award for Excellence in Action Cinema. Not only did he do all those things for the film, it took him three years to make it.…

  Thor: Ragnarok 2017

  Marvel continues to be a well oiled machine when it comes to big budget super hero movies. Each movie is a contained box with some inputs and an ouput. Throw in some superheroes/side characters and a villain, out comes a big CGI fight. Connect these boxes together and you have a cinematic universe.

  What happens in-between though, that's the real magic. That's where Jeff Goldblum shines and Chris Hemsworth sparkles.
