Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl 2024
In a world overrun by sloppy AI art and bad CGI, it’s a genuine thrill to watch a film made with classic stop-motion animation. Visually impressive and highly entertaining, Vengeance Most Fowl seems to know what a rare gem it is, with a plot that playfully warns against an over-reliance on technology. The story follows the basic formula of any Wallace & Gromit outing—Wallace invents something that goes awry and Gromit has to save the day—but when you’re having this much…

Back in Action 2025
This movie tried to order some of Spy Kids’ nachos, but the cashier was like, “ma’am, this is a Wendy’s. Are you on crack?”
Cameron…girl…this is what you came out of retirement for?

The Brutalist 2024
“Cinema is SO back,” has become a popular, post-pandemic phrase that refers to any movie that feels big, exciting, and a reason to rush to the theater. The Substance 2024
OHHHHHMAIIIIGAHHD. The Substance is easily the most insane movie I have seen this year and I am all the better for it. Funny, outrageous, and deliriously gory, it is a true shock to the system. Writer-Director Coralie Fargeat delivers a brutal, Cronenbergian takedown of ageism and female beauty standards. With a masterful use of sound, color, and unnerving closeups, she offers a simple message in a wonderfully in-your-face way. Demi Moore gives a riveting, go-for-broke performance and Margaret Qualley is sensational. The less you know going in, the better, but nothing can prepare for this movie’s final moments. WHAT a ride!
