If you’re going to take the investigative angle, maybe actually do some investigating. Uncover the characters, have the dialogue bear some weight in the story instead of having the main character stare at the camera for thirty minutes flitting her eyes, sucking in her cheeks, and saying “what happenduuuuhhhhhhh” “I got to find out what happenedddduuuuuhhhhh”
The third act had so many good ideas, so much potential, that it should have just been the movie.Instead I’m fed some slow…

Conclave 2024
This is a lesson on cinematography to all the up and coming or burgeoning directors who’ve fell in love with over dramatic shots and excessive use of color to simply dazzle the viewer.
Cinematography should fit within and help establish the foundation of a movie, not the aimless circlejerk of “look what I can do” that “cinema” seems to have devolved to.
This film is a great example of using cinematography to build the space and enhance the immersion of a film.
Aside from that, great story, great pacing, subtle and powerful message. No complaints at all.
