  like the Simpsons

  i liked the first half infinitely more than the second, we see mason grow up with divorced parents, an abusive stepfather and almost bad influence.
  i feel like this almost doesn't even matter in the second half, they don't dive into the effects of masons crappy upbringing like he just goes back to being completely normal and infact uninteresting at times, the second half drags on a lot i feel and usually it would be fine but since the acting performance for mason just becomes terrible as soon as he hits 13 it is legitimately unbearable to watch
