Has all the components of a potentially gripping thriller and for the most part strings them together pretty well, then it all falls apart in a rather sudden & disappointing “non-ending”. I felt rather cheated.

An otherwise entertaining thriller scuppered by a disappointingly weak ending. Did they run out of money or time? Much of this is good - the performances, the script, the visual look of the film & the period styling, but then it just fizzles out where it started, There was more that could have been explored and concluded satisfactorily.

A very run of the mill, do it by numbers, Cold War thriller that lacks drama or suspense. The overarching concept has more holes than a sieve that lets the rain fall through & there are some gaping holes in the narrative that leave you thinking “eh?”. If you can get beyond that though, it delivers as an enjoyable & well executed political/peril thriller. The first hour or so feels like a different movie as it…
