Fun, one of the most original horror films of recent times, it is a shame the ending became so lazy and rushed.

Unwelcome 2022
The horror of tonal inconsistency. STRAW DOGS with man-eating goblins is something I wouldn't have ever dreamed up, but it is working like clockwork, even plausible psychologically, it just doesn't fit. It is either funny and campy or raw and brutal, whenever invests something in one aspect, it loses credit on the other. Finally it goes the grim fairytale-way in the expense of realistic character motivation, and the fantasy arc is so dominant and visually driven, the players (with the exception of the young mother protagonist) lose or never even have a chance to grow any personality.
