  When constructing a cultural artifact, it is advisable to tackle themes that you are genuinely knowledgeable about if you intend to create an honest piece of art. Therefore, if the main aim is to depict the struggles of the working class it would be prudent to involve their perspective rather than getting a bunch of actors to deliver edgy quotable dialogues in an artificial prefabricated story; or else you will be just emotionally prostituting —and thus disrespecting— your subject matter.
