Where its plot lacks anything truly remarkable, certainly all could remark on how savage and brutal its two crash sequences are.

I am not sure, in fact I am positive, this isn't enough to recommend it for its price of admission alone, but certainly because it is Preminger and because it is Mitchum, it certainly propelled me to hit play.

Is this a well made documentary? No!

But is it interesting despite its shallow depths? Yes!

Is Godard the braver filmmaker? Probably!

But is Truffaut the better filmmaker? Yes!

Was Godard right to be political? Sure!

But was Truffaut correct that it is boring and trite? Yes!

Was Godard the brains that turned the machine on its head? Most likely!

But did he lack the originality, talent, and heart of Traffaut? Certainly!

Could I watch The 400 Blows endlessly? Yes!…
