Sumptuous! The story is both sweeping and very intimate - something Neil Jordan handles especially well. I loved the way the film was structured around narratives both oral and written, recalling Atonement (no coincidence, given the talented lead). If I have one quibble, it's that the pace of the storytelling speeds up towards the end, closing many potentially expandable loops in this Gothic tragedy. Another half hour would have been nice. But, like no movie since Park Chan-wook's Thirst, Byzantium…

The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence) 2011
Everything the first one wasn't. Take that as you will. Also may be the finest comedy of the decade, but be warned that the grue (and the poo) hits HARD. Arty B&W direction and not just a few brilliant ideas. This Tom Six character has chops.
