Very tense and great soon and music. Dialogue is a bit corny and Sauliners scripts tend to fall a bit flat when his plots have a mystery to solve or any kind of complicated scenario. Green Room and Blue Ruin are great because the direction and pacing carry the films with a burning intercity that gets diluted in films like Hold The Dark and Rebel Ridge. He could benefit from working with a talented writer which would free him to do what he does best - drench every second of his films with nail biting tension and explosions of meaningful violence

Breathtakingly photographed and haunting prose make this one of my favourite films ever made. Hopeful, grim and moving - this is Tarkovsky at his peak of his powers despite making this on his deathbed.
