Triangle of Sadness 2022
The second act may be one of the funniest bits of film I’ve ever seen, but it’s let down by a sort of dull and predictable third act. Still, a hilarious and scathing must watch.

Glass Onion 2022
I love anything that goes out of its way to make fun of celebrity culture, and I especially love anything self aware enough to not take itself too seriously in the process. That being said, Glass Onion adds little to the genre and just feels like every mystery/heist movie constantly doubling back on itself. That’s not a bad thing, and it’s a great addition to what I consider the perfect genre for when you can’t decide what to put on, but don’t have the energy to get invested in something meatier.

The Northman 2022
Definitely Robert Eggers’ most accessible film, but I’d almost say that’s what stopped me from giving it the full 5 stars. The move is at its best when it’s leaning into esoterica and atmospheric story telling, but when it shifts into a more conventional revenge driven love story, it loses me a bit. Still, one of the better Hamlet-esque stories and certainly one of the best films of 2022
