Sadly Sam Wilson just isn't a character as interesting as Steve Rogers. This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I feel like Billy Wilder shines directing a movie with snappier dialogue, however, this film is pretty good, too. The aesthetics are great and the leading actress far outshines the protagonist.
The fact that the film is one huge flashback makes for a very enticing introduction that immediately hooks you into the plot.
I'm not too familiar with 1940s autopsy technology, but wouldn't there have been evidence of the husband being strangled that would have rang some alarms in authorities' heads? I felt that that was a huge plot hole that was never properly addressed.
