A return to basics so to speak for the franchise. A story more reminiscent of the original than more recent entries with just enough differences to make it standout. New lead characters were enjoyable. Good job of making the xenomorphs and facehuggers terrifying. New fans can hop right in with one as well.

Is it a traditional cinematic piece? No. Does it have a basic plot and weak villain? Sure. But it sure is a lot of fun and delivers what you would want from a movie featuring Deadpool and Wolverine as well as pays homage to the old Fox superhero movies and other superhero movies that might have been forgotten, but nonetheless paved the way for the MCU and comic book movie boom.
