If I had to choose a writer/director to make a movie that’s just people talking, Ryusuke Hamaguchi would probably the first name that comes to mind because he has proven multiple times how unparalleled he is in writing engaging dialogues about basically anything and that it’s all he needs to create some of the greatest movies you’ll ever see. So naturally this movie doesn’t have any of that.
