    Jim Carrey’s whole thing was being wild and unhinged, but I feel like this was a first step to put that wildness into an otherwise normal setting and character. He’s not a pet detective or dumb or a cartoon gang member; he’s a man with a family, a job, an unsettling and inconvenient curse of compulsive truth telling.     Watching I, Robot in 2025 while AI is growing more and more prevalent is fascinating because it is a movie that showcases the blind devotion of people in the industry in regards to their own work. As annoying as it is that nobody outside of Spooner can see the possibility of robots being bad (and it is annoying), it also lines up with human pride and greed.
