  I feel like everyone took this movie really seriously. It’s got contributions from the people behind critters, the stand, and gremlins. It’s cheesy schlock that seems to be a tongue in cheek riffing of the horror tropes of old. It’s not a movie that requires much thought. It’s just silly fun.

  It’s not often I get exactly what I was expecting, which wasn’t much, but I did. Boomer-worshipping ‘Murica stuff aside, it was still watchable. Not sure why the 80s synth wave aesthetic but I’m not mad at it. Oh also there were zombies or something?

  The superhero movie I didn’t know I needed. Why did it take so long to get an evil Superman slasher? Sure it was formulaic but it was also surprisingly violent and actually conveyed the danger and awe of superpowers really well. I want more.

  Oh, I got it. Something something prometheus, capitalism, mythos, etc etc as told via drunken arguing. Aren’t movies supposed to be entertaining? If I want drunk arguing I’ll just go home.
