i really enjoyed the fact that scary men kept trying to threaten her and she absolutely subverted expectations based on gender roles in those kinds of scenarios. if i had to rate the movies it would be pearl, maxxxine, and then X. you get a really strong sense of what about her character stayed the same in X and Maxxxine, and also how she was changed by what she went through in X.

i loved the part when gage opened their phone to delete venmo in the theater and it was like the lights turned on. i loved the part where gage had to explain what was happening multiple times because i paid attention during maybe 5 minutes of this entire movie also i love at the end when tom rider randomly has a sudden change of heart and says he doesn’t wanna kill ryan gosling after he was trying to do it the entire time but still gets arrested at the end.
