Quite possibly my favorite Julia Roberts performance. She’s really brings this role to life with each outlast and ounce of sarcasm she has. This is only interrupted in small moments of vulnerability and grief. She’s someone very passionate and determined. Knowing this is based off a true story also always adds a bit of extra enjoyment for me as it becomes somewhat educational as well:!

L.A. Confidential 1997
A messy web of corruption, manipulation, and cover-ups in the LAPD. It is filmed in a traditional noir style with a modern (90s modern) star studded cast and some great misdirection involved. The more I think about it, the more I realize how much I really enjoyed this. Will have to rewatch for sure
