Sorry fam… I think I’m gonna stop writing reviews on letterboxd going forward… better to talk to people in-person about movies imo and to save voice memos to be able to refresh myself on my thoughts for future conversation. I just don’t sit around in coffee shops and restaurants excited to spew all my thoughts to the world all weekend anymore.

Found it to be a really enjoyable movie! It was my first horror movie in theaters since IT 2, and it was nice to see how much my appreciation of the genre has gone up since then. For much of the movie, I had eyes wide and a big smile, Michael-Jackson-in-Thriller-style.

Adam Driver did an excellent job with this one — my misgiving that I’d see too much of his Star Wars role in him was totally unfounded.
This is a movie where the beauty of the cars, both visually and sonically, was the most memorable part. After that, it’s an exciting sports movie with motivational coaching, and after that it’s a look into a complicated love life of a famous man.
