It’s creative and fun. Robert Pattinson deserves pretty much all the credit for making the movie good. Actually fairly funny at several points which I appreciated. Mark Ruffalo made my skin crawl so I guess good job to him, and Toni Collette served face multiple times. The political analogy was a bit on the nose and the plot was a shallower than I’d hoped but it was fun overall.
Gut wrenching but incredible. Didn’t know it was a completely true story until the very end and wow did that bring it home. Not much else to say.

What a crescendo. Daniel Kaluuya and Lakeith Stanfield both give incredible performances. The movie does a good job of short term foreshadowing, begging the question of what will happen next with little visual hints, which I liked. It also balances the overarching betrayal arc with individual character development for each of the major and minor characters. I particularly liked the reference to the thirty pieces of silver at the end when Lakeith Stanfield gets paid off after drugging Daniel Kaluuya.…
If he was going for surreal and absurd, he got it. The movie doesn’t necessarily confront social norms so much as it exists adjacent to and detached from them. I can tell it is thought through, I enjoyed some of the humor, and it is well-acted as expected. There is probably a dissertation to be written about the dissonant score and coercive relationships.
