An interesting story about friendship, loss, and revenge. Ultimately it’s obviously a metaphor for the Irish civil war, and it is told in an interesting way. Definitely worth a watch.

Ridley Scott created a masterpiece with Alien. The concept is very original, and the setting of the cramped ship inhabited by an unknown enemy is perfect. Sigourney Weaver delivers a great performance that peaks at the end of the film. Her acting combined with the flashing lights, loud alarms, and the setting of a crumbling ship combine to create a terrifying, and captivating ending. My one criticism is that I wish some of the characters were a bit more fleshed out.

The best, most intense, out of left field ending to a movie I have seen in ages. I love how the intensity of the movie comes and goes as you follow the characters throughout the day while also keeping it apparent that the city is a powder keg ready to explode at any moment. All three main characters seem so real, and they mesh together perfectly. Camera work is beautiful as well, long shots emphasize the tension and emotion of each scene. If you have not watched this, watch it ASAP.
