  Almodovar's take on long-lost friendship is beautifully painted, understanding the innate capacity of connections that are rebuilt and renowned, stronger than ever. It never bothers with the limitations of how it could've been left untouched but instead proves how circumstances and lost time aren't capable of ruining the gift of chemistry. His strong sense of palate reminds me why I keep coming back to him and falling in love again and again, speaking so humanly that it defies any cynicism and doubt about human connection. An endless score for him and another for me to think of fondly.

  Pretty picture to look, or perhaps, feel at. Heavy on surface-level, but somehow doesn’t contain much, leaving it hollow and insufficient. Not without its merit, as Guadagnino mastered the  portrayal of loneliness and desperation that speaks from queer longing, but that itself, is not enough.
