  "How long have we been on this rock? Five weeks? Two days? Where are we? Help me to recollect!"

  Yes this is a quote from The Lighthouse, a movie that takes obvious inspiration from Persona. But this was my main question throughout the movie. Where are we, exactly? Where is this taking place? And for how long has this been going on? I found this rather disorienting and an added layer of complexity to this movie.
