I think there were a lot of things I found charming about the movie. The music was very silly and fun, I liked the dance number and some of the banter the characters had.
The puppeteering on No 5 was really fun, and I really enjoy Syd Mead's design for the robot.
Obviously can't really forgive the brown face, and pretty much everything about how they handled Fisher Stevens' character's race and presentation, which is a shame because I generally like the interactions he has with Steve Guttenberg's character. A little less racism next time would be nice.
