Anora 2024
Anora is an undeniably charming film. I really enjoyed myself watching this one. It has the emotional effects of one of that old mad-cap comedy of errors. The Brutalist 2024

Kinds of Kindness 2024
Kinds of Kindness is straight up weird. But damn I enjoyed it. Yorgos Lathimos delivers a strange triptych of surreal parables about relationships. It’s beautifully shot and well acted. The film has all the necessary elements of a good art film. Plus it’s straight up hilarious. I laughed out loud at several moments. The cast plays it all perfectly. You don’t often see such immensely talented actors all staring in films like this one. Jessie Plemons and Emma Stone are both perfectly cast. They play the absurdity straight, which is perfect. I really enjoyed this film. It’s a shame it basically got snubbed critically.

This Place Rules 2022
More ambitious and ambiguous than his usual YouTube stuff. I hope to see even more Channel 5 feature length films.
