Love when a movie is loud and confident like this. Over the top in just the right way, everyone knows what they’re doing and how to wink at the camera (quite literally!). I love how loose and carefree Godard’s style of filmmaking can be, while still having moments of gentle and tender sincerity. Overall, a really funny and clever movie that I really liked.

Breathless 1960
Timeless and captivating. A film that’s sixty years old that has dialogue and editing that puts modern movies to shame. I’m not trying to knock other movies at all, I just really have to emphasize just how bold and energetic every aspect of breathless is.
