“What you do upstream will always affect those living downstream.” Maybe evil doesn’t exist, but it was brought into our world in a way that was beyond our control. Those living upstream do have a responsibility, how many times will they fail us and expect us to live with it.

A Woman Is a Woman 1961
Love when a movie is loud and confident like this. Over the top in just the right way, everyone knows what they’re doing and how to wink at the camera (quite literally!). I love how loose and carefree Godard’s style of filmmaking can be, while still having moments of gentle and tender sincerity. Overall, a really funny and clever movie that I really liked.
