This movie fixes the Bridget Jones timeline:
Bridget is 32 in BJD (2001), but is somehow 43 in BJB (2016) which means Bridge is 4 years younger than she should be. However, for Billy to be the age that he is in this film, BJB must be set in 2012, which lines up perfectly to account for the gap in the timeline. Will need to rewatch BJB to confirm that there's no 2016 technology present. If so, the writers have elegantly redeemed themselves in regards to continuity.
A great conclusion imo. Maybe the best Bridget Jones sequel 🇬🇷 🧮 🦆
