I watched “Mid90s” late last night.
As I got ready for bed, I kept thinking about this film with the lense of a feminist critique. The gap between the male-bodied actors and the female-bodied reactors, despite a fifteen-second valiant effort of a scene showing mostly nameless girls sharing details of a hookup, was clear to me, and it was, sadly, what I was expecting, going into a film about skater culture in the 90s.
