The first half of the movie was great, but there’s a discernible moment where the movie begins to prioritize its political allegory over all else. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing (i.e. Triangle of Sadness) though in this case I found the political message to be a bit trite, and I find the most thought-provoking allegory to be subtextual, which this certainly was not.
