There’s a moment in this film where ScarJo’s director friend is being too exacting and she ruefully says to her (nameless?) sidekick “we should’ve hired Kubrick” (ah yes, famously chill director Stanley Kubrick), and that really tells you exactly how much thought went into the crafting of this.

You truly have to love SNL to like this and I frankly think SNL having a permanent place in the firmament of American culture is pretty bizarre so I was allergic to this.
