I actually really enjoyed this movie. Yes it has some issues and sometimes it can be a little bit tone deaf to issues like eating disorders in women but it is really accurate of it's time as this issues weren't really seen as such back then. The woman that he falls in love with falls into the "not like the other girls" trope , for example the scene where she sings and re-enacts Sinatra something that is not considered "girlie"…
