Memories of Murder 2003
My hot take is that this isn’t as good as everyone is making it out to be.
Whilst there are some raw acting moments which deserve applause (particularly, the third act where we see the detectives reacting to the test results), a lot of the film felt scattered and slow. We lean closer into the suspects thinking it could be them; only for those routes to lead to absolutely nowhere.
Everyone talks about the final shot being profound and pivotal but I found it to be disappointing and anticlimactic.

Challengers 2024
This was good. But it wasn’t great. There was too much back and forth in the timeline, the soundtrack became annoying and loud at some parts and none of the characters had any redeeming quality to them. Had Josh O’Connor (who was the obvious standout) not been in this, my rating would’ve probably lost a star.
