  It would’ve received a much higher rating if it actually made more than a half hearted attempt at diving into the heart of Christianity. This film should not be understood as something which has the Faith at the core of the storytelling. Rather, it is a typical Hollywood drama within a Catholic setting.

  Very complex and demanding film. And by demanding I mean not like philosophically demanding but rather in the sense that there's a lot of timelines and physics involved so I lowkey didn't fw it. I can see a good argument being made for it being a great film as the director clearly spent a lot of his effort into the plot, but I just can't be asked to dive into the lore.

  Fallen Angels 1995

  Tl;dr - I didn't realise that there's two intertwining plots until I read the wikipedia article after viewing, I thought it's the same guy with a different hairstyle.

  Fallen Angels is unique in many respects, but definitely impressed me the most with it's cinematography, use of sound and color, and dialogue. The extent of these four things would honestly merit this film 5 stars, but at some moments I was about to fall asleep. A similar situation occured when I…
