Moonrise Kingdom 2012
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
This one really surprised me. Not only did it have a lot of heart, artistic visionary, and an all-star cast, but it was also genuinely funny. I was very engaged throughout it all but I did feel very uncomfortable especially when Suzy and Sam were alone together (they are 12 years old). In a film it’s weird, but I get it, I got play back when I was 9 years old. Moving forward I really enjoyed it but every Wes Anderson I’ve seen so far, Bill Murray’s character has gotten cucked two times, is- is this like a tradition for Wes Anderson films????

The Royal Tenenbaums 2001
This movie is absolute fire, the story is good, the characters are compelling, the visuals can be breathtaking. I may like this Wes Anderson film the most, but I got a lot more to dig into, but for now it’s my favorite one I’ve seen so far.
