    Millions of words have been written about how great Efron is in this movie but I want to take a second to say Maura Tierney rules and had such amazing facial acting in this movie. The way that she could convey emotion by pursing her lips, just so good. She really conveyed how little control Doris felt she had over her family even as it was falling apart around her.

    holy shit there were so many moments where i recognized myself or people I knew in these character. I was the only one in the theater laughing when Timotheè Chalamet was reading Zinn, or during the scene with the theater kid activities.

    Lukas Hedges practically stole the show out from under Ronan and Metcalf though, he was just so painfully honest in a way that only 17 year olds are really capable of, which is tremendous. Also the way the movie obviously loves Sacramento is great, I feel the same way about my hometown, even when I'm not living there.
