Upon watching this time it really hit me even harder how tragic this story is, how some of the saddest stories are not just about going from bad to worse, but the tragedy of miscommunication, missed timing, and missed connections too. There are so many things we might never know because there's something in the way. Whether it was the power in her DNA or how she was raised or the environment at school that sealed Carrie, her classmates', and her mother's fate, there are so many possibilities, but no answer, which is terrifying in the grand scheme of things.
